The Playschool building, a former residence of the founders, has
retained its family home quality and has been earthquake retrofitted.
It sits on a quarter-acre lot dotted with shady pine trees and numerous
fruit trees.
Our outdoor play is adventurous as in a park. In addition to standard
play structures as a swing set and slides, we have unique play structures
not found anywhere else: a 20-foot sailboat, a two-story wooden rocket
ship, and a custom-built redwood playhouse (done in Arts & Crafts
bungalow style with beamed ceilings and a view of the Bay).
Outside we have a block room filled with a number of wooden blocks,
Lego blocks, and a large wooden doll house. We have an outdoor art
room with easels readily available for young artists. And every Spring,
the children help plant our vegetable "bed" garden. The children also help
feed our guinea pigs and our Bike Barn is filled with a number of
rideable vehicles.
